Lydia is a passionate and dedicated teacher with a lifelong commitment to the art of movement. Her journey began with ballet at the tender age of five, eventually branching out into tap, jazz, and modern dance as she grew. By 16, her dedication led her to pursue classical ballet full-time at the prestigious New Zealand School of Dance, where she graduated in 2017.

Returning to Singapore, Lydia sought to deepen her understanding of movement and body mechanics. She trained intensively in Pilates, completing the teacher certification program at BodyTree Academy. This complementary skill set has empowered Lydia to bring a holistic, well-rounded approach to her teaching, bridging her dance background with Pilates principles to create dynamic, engaging sessions.

With 5 years of teaching experience in helping students, specialising in Lower back pain, Lydia has helped many individuals overcome discomfort and regain freedom of movement. Her compassionate and personalized teaching approach enables clients to manage and reduce pain, improve posture, and build core stability for lasting relief.

Lydia’s mission is to inspire individuals of all ages to move with ease and confidence, creating enriching and enjoyable sessions that empower her students to take charge of their health, live pain-free, and embrace movement for a lifetime.

I’ve been taking regular private duet classes with Lydia for more than a year, and she is an extremely knowledgeable and patient teacher. As a full-time working adult, I seldom have the time to exercise and with my constant sitting position in the office and at home, by the end of the week, my posture is always misaligned. She never fails to accurately identify areas that need releasing, and her reformer lessons are great for strengthening my abs and gluts. I never have to worry about injuries with Lydia, and have confidence in her experience and skill to keep me safe on the reformer.

I have been training with Lydia for quite a while now for both solo as well as duet sessions. Lydia is very knowledgeable and being trained in dance, she is able to understand my pains and weaknesses from sports injuries so far. She focuses on strengthening our deeper, supporting muscles to improve our posture and alignment. I always joke with her that I didn't know I have muscles here and there (mostly wrongly used or unused 😂) ! Over time I have regained balance and coordination. She has truly made a significant difference in my daily life. I'm now stronger and most of the time pain-free.

I have been doing pilates 1-1 sessions with Lydia. She is very attentive and will adjust the exercises to suit your body condition for the day. She also keeps the exercises varied and fun. Now, I have less aches and pains and look forward to the weekly pilates session. Highly recommended and do look for Lydia if you are considering private or duet pilates session in a cosy environment.
