Strength and Conditioning
If you look closely, many world-class athletes train hard outside their sports – Meditation to stay clearheaded in the ring; Pilates to prevent injuries on the soccer field; Gym to prevent imbalances from playing with only one arm like badminton.
Learning Outcomes
Our many years of experience in sports have given us an insight on what we can offer for our students:
1. Moving more efficiently by learning to be precise and accurate in muscular engagement and movement
2. Learning to load joints efficiently to reduce joints and muscle fatigue, which prevents injuries
3. Develop “deep strength” to tolerate the demands of dynamic training better
4. Reducing muscle imbalances to prevent potential injuries and restrictions to skill improvement.
5. Engage neglected muscles to improve your athletic performance and endurance
6. Improve mobility
7. Alleviate aches and pain
CASE STUDY
Our student, Chris fell in love with Skiing ever since he tried it out, and have visited many countries during the skiing season to ski. However, due to the many years of lower activity, skiing starts to put a strain on his ankles, knees and hips, rendering him unable to squat deep and even have trouble putting on his ski boots. We started to resolve this by working on his lower body strength in all angles possible and getting them used to directional change.
Today he is able to enjoy his skiing holiday, and have the ability to challenge the higher level slopes.
