“Jasmine has looked after my fitness and well-being for over 2 years. Initially focusing on Pilates to achieve a greater level of Strength and flexibility, our sessions have become far more holistic covering stretching, cardiovascular, strengthening and my absolute favourite, boxing! Being a gentleman of a certain age, Jasmine has been exceptional in finding “work arounds” to my physical challenges, such as sore joints from arthritis, as and when required. Our sessions are always productive and most importantly fun! I can strongly recommend Jasmine as a thoughtful and innovative trainer. She’s certainly got me back on track!“

“I have been training with Jay since 2015. I had very poor body awareness, mobility and flexibility and was prone to injuries, so much so that my orthopaedic surgeon commented that I was starting a collection. Under Jay’s patient coaching (and I’m a very slow learner), I’m amazed at how far I’ve progressed, looking back at what I couldn’t do 5 years ago to what I could achieve today, which I never thought was possible. Jay patiently taught me how to listen to my body while safely executing exercises within my abilities, always mindful of my history of injuries. His quirky humour and creativity in figuring out ways to help me understand and execute a move safely ensures that there’s never a dull or slack-off moment during training. I give 5 stars”

“I have trained with many personal trainers in the past but none has matched up to Jasmine. She is knowledgeable, dedicated and a true professional. She customises programmes to suit my condition and has a deep understanding of my requirements. Always cheerful and encouraging, her sessions are well-planned, progressive and enjoyable. She combines different techniques and is striving to make me stronger, more flexible and physically confident. Excellent at gauging my limits and an eye for detail, she always knows how hard to push. I can now jog again, squat, and do a dead hang, amongst others! As a senior with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, I am thrilled to bits with this improvement. Next up, boxing….! Thank you, Jasmine. You are a gem!“

My husband and I started gymnastics with Jay during our time in Singapore. He has an amazing understanding about how our bodies work, where we are weak and how to improve those areas. He pushes us to get better and does so in a fun atmosphere. My husband and I have gained so much strength and even learned how to do some front flips and handsprings along the way. Highly recommend!

I started having rehab + exercise sessions under tutelage with Jasmine 2 years back as I was having problem with my inflamed muscles after every run. It was quite a journey to train my muscles in a different way while understanding the basic anatomy from Jasmine. It has transformed the way I look at exercise and rest. My inflamed muscle issue was resolved but yet I have goals to achieve. I want to get better with my badminton games even after I sprained my ankle. Jasmine helped to strengthen my ankles to recover from the injury. Now, I can run like nobody's business without pain!

"My husband and I have been fortunate enough to train with Jay for almost two years. Jay is a master at fitness programming as he has trained us throughout many different circumstances (in-person, virtually, powerpoint) and environments (fitness studio, gymnastics gym, outdoor, home gym) with great attention to detail and without compromising quality. Jay focuses on the precision of movement and is very strategic how he layers the workout to ensure we meet our goals. We look forward to every training session and would highly recommend!"

I started 1:1 training with Jay about 4 years ago, and have made significant progress in my strength and mobility. He is able to challenge me with just the right amount of overload. He is patient, understanding, always willing to listen and explain, and he makes to lessons tough but enjoyable. I learned a lot from his detailed knowledge of a wide range of exercises.

I always thought I was too old for gymnastics until I found Jay, who himself only picked it up as an adult. I joined his classes after Circuit Breaker in 2020 with zero knowledge of gymnastics; I didn't even gym regularly. But in less than a year, Jay has levelled me up from jumps to cartwheels, push-ups to handstand push-ups, pull-ups to muscle-ups. Generous with both his time and his advice, Jay has deep understanding of how both body and mind work. His sessions are personalised, focussed, and effective. I always get a good workout and feel a sense of achievement after each session, and the results from week to week are tangible. Training with Jay was hands-down the best decision of 2020 for me. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been attending group Pilates classes regularly since 2017 and to date Jasmine is still my favourite instructor and one of the best I know of. She really knows her stuff and is passionate about helping others relieve their pain and improve their fitness through movement and exercise. Her classes are creative and fun yet still challenging enough. She’s also really flexible with her routines and is always able to come up with modifications on the spot when you aren’t able to do a certain move due to pain or injuries. To top it off, Jasmine also has a bright and easygoing personality which makes her a joy to work with. I recommended my dad and ex-boss to take private lessons with her and they both really enjoyed their sessions with her as well. I would highly highly recommend Jasmine as an instructor to anyone looking for one!

Have been working with Jay since 2016. He’s very patient and of course humorous in his own cheesy way Even when I suffered a major injury on my shoulder and collar bone, Jay was very willing to break the exercise down to the most basic and safest to help work me back towards normalcy . A good teacher with a good knowledge of what he’s teaching , and ever willing to explore more in order to help his student excel further

My handstand journey with Coach Jay 💪🤸. I have been with other Coaches before, Jay is one of the best. He is very creative in his drills and training, and each segment focuses on bringing the student to the next level. A caring and patient coach with excellent knowledge in human anatomy. I have progressed so much since my first term with him. I will stick with him till I can walk with my hand 🙌.

I have been training calisthenic + rehab under the guidance of Jay for the past 10 sessions. He identify my weakness and provide feedback on how it can be improve. He introduce various exercises to help me gain awareness of proper muscle contraction and body movement control. He also explained the rationale behind every exercises and it helped me have a better understanding of what I should be doing. Training is progressive with emphasis on proper form and execution. Highly recommended for anyone who wish to practice Calisthenic and/or injury rehabilitation at a safe and controlled pace. Thank you Jay and Beacon Movement🫡

Been doing handstands w Jay for a while and really appreciate that he tailors exercises for individual levels. Patient but pushes you to challenge yourself. Also love the small and cozy class size! Will be back when I’m back 🙂

Jay has been and continues to be an awesome coach! He checks in with you about your training and is sensitive towards your condition (mind and body). Then, he pitches the lesson to the point where it is just outside your comfort zone, encouraging you to work hard yet not so devastatingly difficult that you just want to give up. Jay and his attention to detail and adaptability is a rare find amongst PTs and it is always a pleasure to train with him.

have been doing Handstand, Ring- and body-weight classes with Jay for about 2 years. All the classes have been really great and Jay is great at explaining all the minor queues, one need to feel when doing complicated moves. This has really increased my own awareness of my own body and helped me learn things like handstand, levers and other fun skills

I have been training with Jay for close to 6 years now and doing 1 on 1 private training with him for about 4 years. Jay is a very detailed coach, able to explain concepts in a fun and humorous manner. He is also a great athlete, one that is able to walk the talk. He is also able to pinpoint your individual weaknesses and design drills and give tips for you to work on them, so many of my handstand mistakes were spotted and them worked on with him. Finally he is just a great and fun guy to be around with. Anyone who is serious about making a change in their fitness and skill level in gymnastics and calisthenics should attend his classes.
